Ready to master key management techniques?

Understand what good governance looks like and how, you as the EA/PA, can assist the Board, CEO and Management to achieve it. We will examine your role and responsibilities as a Board secretary and take you through best practice examples of Board agendas, papers, and minutes. The Masterclass will use a mix of presentation, case studies, exercises, and open discussion.

• Understand directors’ legal duties and obligations

Anne Blackburn is an expert facilitator with a background in journalism, public service, banking, governance, and strategic advice. After 15 years in international investment banks, she returned to New Zealand and transitioned to full-time directorship a decade ago.

She has had senior roles at BNZ and has served on various boards, including TSB Bank, Meridian Energy, and TVNZ. Currently, she sits on boards such as Fidelity Life, Eastland Group, and Auckland Council Property Ltd, focusing on Audit, Risk, and Remuneration committees.

Anne is also Chair of the Royal New Zealand Ballet and the Centre for Clinical Research, and serves on the boards of Footnote Dance Company and the Chinese Language Foundation.

Her expertise spans finance, innovation, and governance, specializing in capital structure and remuneration practices.
